1. Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to visitors, account holders, and administrators who use ScholarPath PH. ScholarPath PH is an independent scholarship information directory for students in Ormoc City. This policy is written with regard to the Philippines’ Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

2. Information we collect

The information collected depends on how you use the website:

• Account information: when you log in with email, Google, or Facebook, we may receive your name, email address, profile image, account identifier, authentication provider, and session information. We do not receive your Google or Facebook password.
• Profile and survey information: you may provide your location, education level, school, year level, preferred field of study, and scholarship interests. We use these details to personalize recommendations.
• Saved items and notifications: we may store saved-scholarship records, notification preferences, reminder settings, and read or unread status.
• Support messages: when you contact ScholarPath PH, we store your account details, message, timestamps, conversation history, and any optional support attachment so the team can respond.
• Scholarship activity: the website may record pages visited, scholarship listings viewed, search terms entered, and clicks to official provider pages.
• Browser and device information: hosting and analytics services may process your IP address, approximate location, browser or device type, referring page, page performance, and request timestamps.
• Local identifiers and preferences: ScholarPath PH may store visitor and session identifiers, viewed-listing history, saved-item fallbacks, notification state, and interface preferences in local or session storage.

Do not send passwords, one-time codes, government identification numbers, banking details, medical information, or scholarship application documents through the message form.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate ScholarPath PH, authenticate accounts, maintain profiles, save scholarships, provide reminders, personalize recommendations, respond to support requests, secure the website, measure useful content, diagnose errors, and prevent misuse. Recommendations use available scholarship fields and profile preferences. They are not automated eligibility decisions or guarantees.

We do not use your Google account to read Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or other Google content. We do not use your Facebook account to post on your behalf.

4. Login with Google, Facebook, or email

Google and Facebook login are optional. When you choose either provider, it authenticates you and shares the approved basic account details with ScholarPath PH through Supabase. Their processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy and Meta Privacy Policy. Supabase handles email credentials and account sessions when you use email login. Public scholarship browsing does not require login.

5. Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies

ScholarPath PH uses Supabase-based event analytics, Vercel hosting and analytics, Meta Pixel, Facebook Login, and Facebook social plugins. These tools support authentication and measure page visits, searches, listing engagement, and website performance. They may use cookies, browser storage, IP-derived information, or device identifiers under their configurations and policies.

You can restrict cookies or clear website storage in your browser. This may sign you out or remove locally stored preferences, notification state, and saved-item fallbacks.

6. Service providers and sharing

We use service providers to operate the website:

• Supabase provides authentication, database, and server-side functions. See the Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Google provides optional Google account authentication.
• Vercel hosts the website and provides performance and usage analytics. See the Vercel Privacy Notice.
• Meta provides optional Facebook authentication, social plugins, and Meta Pixel measurement technology. See the Meta Privacy Policy.

These providers may process information on infrastructure outside the Philippines under their own terms and safeguards. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or during a legitimate transfer of responsibility for operating ScholarPath PH.

Opening an official provider link sends your browser to that provider. ScholarPath PH does not send your profile or saved-scholarship data to a provider merely because you viewed its listing.

7. External scholarship websites

ScholarPath PH links to official scholarship providers and other third-party websites. Their forms, accounts, cookies, and data practices are outside our control and are governed by their own privacy notices. Review the destination before submitting personal information or documents.

8. Retention and security

We retain information only while reasonably needed to provide accounts, saved items, recommendations, notifications, support, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups or security logs where permitted by law.

We use access controls, authenticated sessions, restricted administrator permissions, and managed service providers to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password, login links, and credentials private.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to be informed about processing, access your information, correct inaccurate information, object to certain processing, request erasure or blocking, obtain portable data where applicable, or raise a complaint. The National Privacy Commission explains these data subject rights. Some requests may be limited when information must be retained for security or legal reasons.

10. Children and younger students

ScholarPath PH is intended to help students, including younger students, find public scholarship information. A parent or guardian should assist a minor with account or inquiry features when appropriate. Do not use the message form to submit sensitive personal information or application documents about a child.

11. Requests and contact

To ask a privacy question or request access, correction, or deletion, email support@scholarpathormoc.online. Describe the request clearly and identify the email address connected to your ScholarPath account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when ScholarPath PH features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top will show when the latest version took effect. Material changes may also be announced on the website.
